The Volunteer Driver supports Ingham County MDHHS clients by providing transportation so they can get to medical appointments, locally and outside of the county. The Volunteer Driver can also transport children in foster care to visitations with family members. Mileage, meals, and other travel related expenses will be reimbursed at the current state rate.
- Transporting individuals or families to medical appointments both locally or further outside of Ingham County such as but not limited to Grand Rapids, Brighton, or Ann Arbor
- Transporting children in foster care to visits with family members
- Keeping accurate record of mileage and other travel related costs for reimbursement
- Ensuring appropriate signatures are obtained on transportation paperwork
- Completing all paperwork in a timely manner
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance and own transportation
- Safe driving history
