MDHHS strives to promote better health outcomes, reduce health risks, and support stable and safe families while encouraging self-sufficiency.
MDHHS offers a number of programs to help families with temporary assistance when times are tough such as assistance programs like food stamps and Medicaid, foster care, and children’s and adult protective services.
