You and your co-facilitators can make a huge impact in the lives of grieving children in our community! Facilitator Training is scheduled for January 2022.
We are now recruiting Support Group Facilitators for the January 2022 Facilitator Training. One of the primary services provided by Ele's Place is our peer support group program for children, teenagers, and their families who are grieving the death of a family member. These groups are held Monday-Thursday and organized according to the child's school grade and developmental level, ages 3- 18. A team of four facilitators facilitates each peer group.
To be a Facilitator, you must do the following:
- Attend BOTH ZOOM Facilitator Training sessions in their entirety:
- Tuesday, January 18th: 6:00 p.m.—9:00 p.m.
- Friday, Jan. 21st: 7:00 p.m.-9:30 p.m.
- Attend all of the in-person Facilitator Training session at Ele's Place:
- Saturday, January 22nd: 9:00 a.m.—5:00 p.m.
- Complete all the online learning modules before January 18th's ZOOM session (4.5 hrs.)
- You must also agree to be a facilitator from February 2022 through December 2022 (Summers are optional). Facilitators volunteer one night a week from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
