Main purpose: Assist Family Growth and Resource Center staff with essential tasks to run the center. This includes packing online orders, stocking the Free Boutique with donated items, assisting clients, and other needs as they present themselves.
Essential Tasks
· Packing basic need supply orders from an online system.
· Assisting clients to find items in the Free Boutique.
· Stocking the Free Boutique from donated items.
· Assisting with intaking and storing ordered and donated items as physical limitations allow.
· Basic tidying and potentially light cleaning as required, both in the resource center and in the lobbies.
· Assisting in organizing storage areas as time allows.
· Basic administrative tasks such as filling out forms or assisting with filing as needed.
Requirements
All background checks, CPR certification, TB test as required by Child and Family Charities.
Training on the following:
· Child and Family Charities Volunteer Handbook
· Confidentiality
· Trauma-informed approach with clients
Additional Information
· Volunteers can self-select their schedule provided it is from Monday to Thursday from 10 am – 5pm.
· Volunteers will need some proficiency in technology as they will be using an online system to help pack orders and sign up for volunteer slots.
