Make a Difference Day (Saturday, October 24^th)

October 24^th is a national day of service with neighbors helping neighbors. This year for its observance, Capital Area United Way will be sponsoring a week-long Make a Difference Drive. For this drive, local schools, businesses and government will collect personal care items to benefit people in need in our community. The five-day drive will begin on Monday, October 19 and end on Friday, October 23. Items collected will include soap, deodorant, combs, brushes, toothpaste, toothbrushes and other essential personal hygiene products. Deliveries to shelters and area school personal needs closets will occur on Make a Difference Day—October 24, 2015.
