Who We Are
Mission: To spark curiosity and encourage scientific exploration with hands-on exhibits and programming.
In 1972, Marilynne Eichinger set out to create an open and free environment for children and families to learn together using their hands. She opened Impression 5 Science Center and, in so doing, opened one of the first hands-on science centers in the country!
What We Do
Impression 5 Science Center is a dynamic, interactive space for families to play, create, and challenge their understanding of science. “Impression 5” refers to the five senses and the way each sense is engaged during your visit to the Science Center! Our aim is to facilitate learners in scientific exploration through hands-on exhibits and participatory educational programming.
