Mission: To be the leading voice of sports tourism in the Greater Lansing area and to promote economic growth by attracting a diverse range of sporting events to the region.

The Lansing Sports Commission (LSC) strives to enhance the quality of life for area residents through the development of local sports and fitness programs for all ages, with a special emphasis on the underserved population; and to support the continued development and maintenance of safe, high-quality athletic facilities.

We are your resource for sports tournament planning in Michigan’s Capital Region and a true partner in having your best event ever! We understand that a lot goes into choosing a host city for any event. No one thing is more important than any other and, just like in sports, balance is everything. Located right in the middle of Michigan, Greater Lansing has that balance and the services staff of the LSC will be on hand to help from start to finish. No matter the size of your sports event, our team is there to help. We’re not just an information source, but a true partner in the planning process.

The Lansing Sports commission is a sub-division of Choose Lansing. While both organizations are destination marketing organizations committed to increasing visitation to the Greater Lansing Michigan region, the LSC is focused on amateur athletic competitions and events.

The LSC and the Team Lansing Foundation are also committed to regional destination development pertaining to development and upkeep of play and athletic facilities in the area. Everything from removable fences for baseball facilities to barrier free play structures for children with physical disabilities, the LSC is dedicated to making Michigan’s Capital City a great place to play.
