Peace & Prosperity Youth Action Movement (PPM) is a group of teens and young adults, ages 12 and up, focused on increasing social equity within our community.
We launched PPM in 2009 to engage young people through skill-building and leadership curriculum that prepares them for continuing education, community and civic leadership, social entrepreneurship, and economic mobility to create transformative change.
To do so, PPM needs transportation to their acts of community service, workshops, events, etc. to build a powerful and sustainable base for youth voice, and educational opportunities, and take action in their communities.
We are looking for volunteer drivers who:
- Can interact compassionately with all PPM members, staff, and affiliates
- Are reliably available at scheduled times and punctual
- Can drive in all weather conditions
- Ensure the safety of riders
- Respect different cultures
Required:
- Valid driver’s license
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Safe driving record
- State-required liability insurance
- Working mobile phone
- Mandatory background check and sex offender registry check
- Must sign Volunteer Driver Agreement Form
Commitment:
- Two Fridays a month, picking up from the youth's residence and dropping off at a designated location provided by ONE LOVE GLOBAL(4:45 pm to 5:30 pm) , and then returning from the designated location to the youth's residence (7:30 pm to 8:15 pm).
