Virtual Connections

Who We Are

Virtual Connections' mission is to keep older adults connected and healthy through technology. We have been training volunteer coaches and providing workshops in different settings to support older adults to maximize their digital skills to live a more connected life. Virtual Connections has been working to improve digital literacy among older adults for the past five years as a community program housed at Michigan State's School of Social Work.

What We Do

Virtual Connections provides a field-tested 6-7 week program on smartphone basics and telehealth services. The workshops are in small group settings with staff and volunteer coaches using easy to use guides for all participants. We work with community centers, senior groups and libraries. We also provide for free downloadable smartphone and telehealth services guides to the community.
